Did you enjoy all those differences that can be noticed in the Super Mario World beta screenshots? What if Nintendo had stuck with some of their original material while creating the Super Mario World we know and love today? Well, this SMW hack will let you play the game how it may have been in [...]

What Happened to Team Beta Triforce? It has been many long months, and this article is here to explain why TBT suddenly dissapeared off the face of the internet. The leader of Team Beta Triforce, ZeldaMaster90 aka ZM90 was overthrown, the project was made open source and leaderless, and TBT was renamed Z64 Bros.
The revival [...]

Fans of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II probably know how much fun the game was, but also how much stuff that was shown in the beta screens was later removed from the final game (yeah, we still need to write an article about that on U64…).
KotOR II’s producer Chris Avellone in an [...]

Do you remember “Fado”, the beta Kokiri girl that was seen in a couple of early screenshots from Ocarina of Time? That girl was changed in the final game with a different 3D model, but now thanks to ZethAlkar, member of the Team Beta Triforce, we can see her again in the Zelda 64 Beta [...]

Here’s another nice update from our friends at Team Beta Triforce, about the Zelda 64 Beta Restoration Project. Do you remember the original version of the Castle Town, as we have seen it in these famous beta screens?

Well, you will be able to play in there in the Zelda 64 Beta Restoration public demo that [...]

The Beta Restoration Project is a remake of the legendary Beta of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. We are specifically remaking the Adult-only, A+C version of the beta, also known as dev1 (development version 1)

Here is a new video showing what to expect of most levels once it’s released. It is based on one low quality beta image, but I also show off the graphics I have made and a little of the overworld. Enjoy.

Okay, I know it seemed like I was stalling this hack on purpose, but I just didn’t have too much time. But now, finally I have released my final of the first beta hack! You can get it in the description of the Youtube video below! The reason why this was so hectic is that [...]

Update: it seems that this hack was found by Trekki, Tanks, Sonicandtails and other “NSMB hackers” too, along with the version of LucaPM and other gamers. You can download the Trekki version at http://treeki.googlepages.com.

LucaPM was working on a  “beta-hack” to restore more removed stuff from the game. The beta revival would have had all the secret [...]

Okay. We all heard about the M64 beta-hack that Bosco started. I was going to help him until I decided to start my own beta hack. He saw mine and generously dedicated the project to me. Now I am glad to say that he is helping me with some textures to put in :). [...]

This is probably an old news for hardcore Sonic fans, but everyone else will be happy to know that at the Sonic Retro website they are working on a playable remake of the Sonic 1 beta! As they write on the project page: “Sonic 1 Beta Remake is a Sonic 1 hack created by Mistergambit, [...]

After the Super Mario World Beta Remake by Randy355, Unseen 64 would like to promote another attempt in recreating the Mario 64 Beta game: in this new unseen project, Bosco is trying to hack Super Mario 64 with Toad’s Tool 64, to change textures and to add some of the removed stuff that we can [...]

Well, I have a new level showing off random beta stuff, it needs some polishing, but it will be here in no time!

I think my last two were better, but this has nicer quality at least! You can check the other videos and screens from the “Beta Mario World Project” in here & here, or [...]

My Super Mario World: beta Hack Project is going well, here is some new stuff I had just put together. Based off of old screenshots, I have made a Ghost Castle level to show you what it may have looked like in the actual beta game. The ground was made by a person named Someguy. [...]

A “beta” level made with LunarMagic, based off of beta screenshots of Super Mario World and based off of the SNES Test program Graphics files.
