Lord of the Rings: The White Council [X360/PS3 – Cancelled]

The Lord of the Rings: The White Council is a RPG that was under development at Electronic Arts Los Angeles. It was going to be based on the fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien, however on February 2, 2007, EA announced that the game had been delayed indefinitely. This was said to be due to management problems. EA worked with Pandemic Studios to create The Lord of the Rings: Conquest instead. [Infos from Wikipedia]

In the Youtube Channel of 64Scener we can see a nice collection of videos from various N64 prototypes: Earthworm Jim 3D, Top Gear Hyperbike, Duck Dodger and Power Puff Girls. I never played these games, so i dont really know if they have any differences from the final version (only the Power Puff Girl has a comparison with the final). Do you see any changes? Props to 64Scener / Nesworld for sharing these!

The Getaway Online (HOME Proto) [PS2 – Cancelled]

In summer 2004, SCE London studio gave the finishing touches to EyeToy: Play 2. But what did happen after that? The team began working on “The Getaway Online” for PS2 which evolved into different concepts and which is known as Home for PS3 nowadays. Sadly, not much is known about the original project.
