Project H.A.M.M.E.R. was an action-adventure for Wii developed by Nintendo Software Technology Corp. The game was first revealed at E3 2006, but then cancelled due to quality and management issues in January 2007.
In Project H.A.M.M.E.R., players controlled a cyborg prototype and had to save major cities across the United States which were attacked by killer robots. Swinging the Wii Remote would have resembled swinging the protagonist’s hammer.

I guess they were worried people might like this game so they focused on Wii Music instead.

Wii Music suffered from bad publicity, and that’s it. People would realize the game is fine if they had only played it.
Anyway, I’m a little disappointed that this game got canceled. It looked interesting. However, it looks somewhat generic, and it wouldn’t appeal to most people. I understand why Nintendo wanted want to focus on other games.
