Time Traveler [PS2 – Cancelled]

Time Traveler [PS2 – Cancelled]

Time Traveler is an action game that was in development in 2003 / 2004 at Sensory Sweep Studios. From the only video that remains from the project it seems that the player would have been able to go back in time to the Titanic disaster, to change the history.  It’s currently unknown if the Titanic was the scenario for only one of the various levels of the game, or if all the missions would have been set in the  famous sinking ship. This project could have also been a proposal concept for an early Playstation 3 game, with a prototype build created on their PS2 engine.

Interesting concept, in spite of the awful execution. Time travelling games have always interested me, but few, if any, has ever been as good as Time Commando.

Also, the theme from the soundtrack of Gladiator, by Hans Zimmer, is completely out of context.

@Dieubussy: indeed, i love the time-travel concept, but it’s not easy to find a good game about it. Zelda Majora’s Mask and Oracle of Ages were very good, also Shadow Of Memories (and somehow Raw Danger). I had hopes for Time Hollow on the DS, but it’s too linear.

I wonder if this was the game that was meant to be set during various disasters around the world. I remember someone announcing a game like that and there was meant to be various levels like the Titanic, The World Trade Center and Pompeii.

The game you remember was Survivor [XBOX / PC], developed by Replay Studios. There is a post about it scheduled to be published in the U64 Archive in a couple of months (you should be able to find some screens around already anyway) :)
