originally there were going for a pc and playstation 2 port of the game but it was cancelled in favor for another james bond game called agent under fire

Taken from wikipedia Agent Under Fireoriginally started as the PS2 and PC versions of The World Is Not Enough, and was based on a modified Quake III Arenaengine. In 2001, the PC version was cancelled, and the PS2 version was remade as Agent Under Fire

ARCADE Magazine #18/April 2000 did a 6 page preview/feature on this, interviews with 2 of the developers etc.

They said the PC version might of been done earlier, had it been the ONLY version in development.PC version due to have a far more ‘extensive’ M.P aspect than the PS2 version.

Game was planned for PC, PS2 and PS1.

Found a section on it’s PS2 appearance at E3 2000-Press NOT impressed, describing it as looking like an average PC FPS with significant frame rate problems and it was ‘one of the dissapointments of the show’.

Nothing in the game looked likely to move the genre forward (something EA claimed it would) and it was due for an Oct 26th Launch on PS2.
