DC developer was (according to DC-UK magazine) Visiware Studios, ETA was Mid 2000.DC version promised lots of real-time shadows and clever lighting.

DC Version also covered in Preview in Edge July 2000.Said game promised 15 massive levels, characters from the film (Dr Zaius etc) and 3 ‘play modes’ were on offer-Stealth, Normal and Athletic.

DC magazine issue 21 has Fox Interactive saying their focus is now on game development, not publishing, it’d be upto new publishers to decide if Buffy and Planet Of The Apes appeared on Dreamcast.

PC ZONE Magazine, who awarded it a mere 40%” at review, made note of it’s Playstation and Dreamcast roots, describing the graphics as primitive and completely devoid of detail, no mouse support, poor game camera angles.

Also random combat, which required no skill.

They described the game as a good opportunity wasted.

Doesn’t sound like we missed anything special on the Dreamcast.

Official Playstation Magazine gave it 6/10

Engaging story, let down by shoddy production, awkward combat, dull graphics, jerky camera, glitchy level design, random puzzles, linear and sometimes highly frustrating gameplay.

PC version suffered chronic slippage, Fox blaming issues co-ordinating things with games French developers, decision to bring game to consoles as well as PC and wanting games release to tie-in with release of the Tim Burton film.
