Kamikaze Comics is a cancelled platform game that was in development by Crystal Dynamics in 1994 for the Sega Mega CD. The main character was a comic book author that somehow got sucked into his comics and probably had to find a way to return to the real world. There is no more info available on this project and we don’t know why it was never released. Rod Wod was able to find a single screenshot of the game in an old magazine.
Thanks to Jason for the english corrections!

Probably no loss really. Most American games in the 16bit age were complete crap. Not like today though.

Only because the best minds were on PC systems like the Amiga.
For those small european software house cracking into the console scene at the time was hard due to the cost barrier caused by the cartridge business.
Still EA did a good job on Mega Drive, Rareware did some very successfull hits, Factor 5 released one of the most technically impressive SNES game ever ( and Huelsbeck music was one of the finest of the 16 bit era ), etc.
This game however looks like crap.

No one brought up “Comix Zone Clone”? Or maybe since it was released in 1995, a coincidence?

European programmers have always been pretty good. For consoles it was the US programmers that made most of the crap in the 90′s.

It’s pretty curious that this game has been developped by Crystal Dynamics. I thought they worked only for the 3DO during this period
