If everything worked correctly, you should notice all around this post a new graphic style for U64. In April 2008 we evolved our old html website into a better Wordpress archive, but as we did not have much free time to think about a new graphic to go along the new site, we just kept the base WP theme. After a year, in April 2009 we decided that U64 needed a better theme too. And here it is! We are still working on some details (let us know if you find some bugs), but we are happy enough with this new graphic style.. what do you think about it? Probably we’ll have an even better one sooner or later, but right now this is the best we can do with our limited free time. Thanks to everyone for the support!

The color of links already visited is purple, a color that is hard to read onto a light blue background ( I’m refering to the list on the right ).
The preview images are in a strange format ratio ( rectagle ).
In that ratio they are useless for their preview goal.
Dunno if it is my browser ( Safari ).

EDIT: Ops now the the ratio of the preview images is correct. Wonder what happened :-P

It seems to be loading faster than the old one. Having to mouseover commenters’ names in Recent Comments to see what articles they commented on will get tiresome, though.

Awesome redesign. Very slick and much more professional looking. Good choice of color too.

I have the same problem as Celine with the preview images. I use Firefox. Other than that it’s much better than the old one.

One other thing: the blue links at the bottom of the page are almost invisible because of the background colour.

Thanks to everyone for your feedbacks! :)

@ Celine: indeed, you are right, the right side-bar is still a WIP, there are many things to fix and the visited links color is one of them for sure!

@ Celine & Susumu: could you make me a screenshot of the bug with the preview images? I’m not sure what it could be, but maybe it could be fixed.

@ Robert Seddon: i noticed it too, those links took the same color from the links in the pages, i’ll try to find a better color! I did not noticed that the “recent comments” section did not show the relative topic.. i’m not sure if there’s a way to show them, but i’ll see what i can do :)

Preview images looks good on Internet Explorer. No wrong here. And while the recent visited links are indeed purple I have to disagree that they aren’t hard to locate on a light blue background.

The only thing I don’t like is how the admin log-in is thrown into the copyright and credits down on the screen. Kinda hard to locate.

We decided to move the admin-log-in at the bottom so the right bar is less chaotic, but yeah, maybe i should have warned the staff that it was moved ;) Anyway, we’ll try to fix all the various bugs this weekend!

Now the link colors for the right sidebar menù and the footer should be fixed with better ones.

I still dont have a clue about the bug for the gallery, right now i just hope that it could ramdomly fix by itself ;)

To add the name of the post in the “Recent Comments” list i’ll need some more time :)

:(
i have tried to update the Gallery plugin, but now it has even more bugs. I’ll run a complete update later, we need to make a backup before, to be sure that the site does not explode :P

I haved fixed some of the Gallery problems (now the images shoul open again in the overlay and not in full page).. maybe that other error is fixed too?

Nope, it’s not fixed yet. But fixing that image opening problem makes it more tolerable.

You still have no idea what the problem is? Strange. I hope I don’t sound pushy!

Dont worry Susumu, you dont sound pushy! Yeah, we still did not have any clue about that bug :( I never experienced it and neither most of the people that i asked to, it seems related to the browser used

Well, I updated my browser so it is no longer an issue for me!

Sadly that is probably the only way to fix the gallery issue :( it’ such a random bug.
