I worked on this game back in 2005, I came into the project late after they were already behind, there was a small team of developers. 2 programmers and just as many artists primarily, from time to time a couple more. The reason the game was canceled was due to poor time management and disputes between coding practices of the two programmers for it, they were also the owners of the small 3rd party company which was at the time being funded by Majesco, the name of the company was 'Cyber Philharmonic Video Game Design.' I always thought it could have been really cool had it been completed. (given the chance I would still complete it today, I like to finish what I start, it's a pet-peeve of mine to not complete something) I worked on the levels for the game, as a good amount of other assets were also finished. I think there were a total of 12-14 levels, I can't remember exactly. I had finished 3 of them, they were huge levels mind you. 1 level was the size of all of the game of Metroid, or Castlevania. We weren't able to put together a working demo and meet the milestones so Majesco stop funding the project... which ended it: Canceled. :( At least I among few others know the game and the story, ie. the ending.. :P muahahaha

I wonder why the game was cancelled after it was overhauled halfway through its proposed development cycle. Titles such as the original Half Life and Halo 2 both experienced similar reworkings but I wonder if Majesco lost the perceptive of Moonlight Fables giving Castlevania a run for its money. It reminds me of Portrait of Ruin but with dramatic scaling of the action in place of the the enemy set mode.
